Intentionally bought the 4080 to avoid the 4090 melting problem. I’ll upgrade to the 50 when next Gen comes out.

I upgraded from a GTX 1080 witch was such a great card and still a great 1080p card mid range maybe now but stll running software in 2023 at high/Normal settings ..To an RTX TUF 4090 and this card and the Lovelace architecture feels as good as the Pascal on my old GTX1080 . RTX4090 is a beast and it runs as good as the price on the box.
The problem i had was finding an upgrade that i felt was worthy of the massive price tag and skipped the 20,30 nvidia card range. The RTX 4090 is a great card and would recomend if you have saved up the cash for one.

To the average folk cheaper is better, price not quality. Have fun running 4080’s and 4090’s, I wonder if the fire department covers burn over cost. Perfect way to wreck your system, almost half the energy wasted either on idle tasks or crazy games that run like bench mark stress tests on full load.
