In reply to Sam. That's totally up to you. Performance-wise, I think both would be similar. As you have seen from our results above, these RTX 4080s will perform similarly. So it will fall into which one you prefer the most or which card works with your setup better, aesthetically speaking, airflow and size.

I have also managed to order a 4080 founders edition.

So i need to decide which one to send back

In reply to Sam. Yes, that's fine. You can also put some fans on top if you have exhaust on the top portion of your case.

Where should such case fans be positioned?
I already have one behind the CPU cooler which is above the GPU slot.
Would this be appropriate
